-Each year there is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Bringing celebrities each year to slay for a particular theme. This year they honored "Comme des Garcons" designer Rei Kawakubo.
Everyone was suppose to wear bold, architectural designs of Kawakubo who is a 74 year old Japanese designer who founded Comme des Garcons in 1969. So that is where the theme comes from tonight.-
